AKA Wall Street is naturally located in New York’s financial district in Downtown, a few blocks away from the famous stock exchange street. The four-star apartment hotel in the luxury class is thus primarily aimed at business people, so here there are often good prices to be found for those who are on a city break in New York on the weekends.
With that said, AKA Wall Street is not a cheap hotel, far from it, but the quality in relation to the price is very good. The hotel is housed in a lovely and venerable building. The apartments and suites are stylish and modernly furnished.
Facilities include a 24-hour front desk, fitness center, business center, and awesome rooftop terrace. At the reception you also have access to concierge services, should you need assistance with anything.
NobleDEN Hotel
NobleDEN is a bargain if you want to live close to Little Italy and Chinatown in Manhattan. The hotel has only 54 rooms and is rated with four stars. The rooms are neat, with modern decor and stylish bathrooms.
NobleDEN does not have many facilities, other than a small business center, a simple lounge with dining, as well as a beautiful roof terrace. What speaks most in the hotel’s favor is that guests get a lot of quality and comfort for their money.
The service is also generally good, in addition to the hotel being located in an exciting part of the city, with many affordable eateries close by. You also get a short distance to two metro lines.
EVEN Hotel Times Square South
The EVEN Hotel is rated with four stars and is very well located in Midtown. From here, you have easy access to Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Penn Station just around the corner.
The hotel has 150 rooms with modern and pretty decor. Some of the rooms may be perceived as somewhat small, but this is offset by the location, the high standard, and the low prices.
EVEN Hotel also has a restaurant, bar and lounge, 24-hour fitness center, business center, and offers concierge services if you need help with bookings, tips, or other assistance.
Hotel 50 Bowery NYC
This boutique hotel is located in Chinatown, next to the Lower East Side district. The neighborhood is not particularly crowded, but this is an exciting part of Manhattan anyway.
What makes the hotel highly recommended is first and foremost the quality in relation to price, and secondly the fact that here you get excellent service. Hotel 50 Bowery is rated with 4.5 stars, and has 229 beautiful and large rooms with beautiful decor.
The hotel has a good restaurant, very nice bar with lounge, own nightclub, 24-hour fitness center, and a small and nice garden. However, the best thing about the facilities is the roof terrace. Sit down with a good glass of drink, and enjoy the great view!
TownePlace Suites by Marriott New York
TownePlace Suites is a 2.5-star aparthotel owned by the Marriott chain. Here you can stay very affordable, central and comfortable, but without so many amenities.
The 113 apartments are spartan, but in relation to the price the standard is very good. The aparthotel has a 24-hour reception, its own fitness center, breakfast restaurant, lounge, and a pleasant and practical roof terrace.
On the roof terrace you will find, among other things, Weber grills that you can use, if you want to set up your own BBQ. TownePlace is located at 44th Street, which is close to Times Square in Midtown. From here, you are within walking distance of the Empire State Building and Broadway, among others.

- Avoid traveling on the weekends where the major events take place, such as the New York Marathon.
- From early January, to about mid-March, is usually the cheapest period.
- July and August can also be affordable.
- Room rates are often lower on weekends than on weekdays, especially at hotels that cater to business people.
- In general, Uptown and Downtown are somewhat less expensive than Midtown.
- The chain hotels often have good offers if you travel out of season. This is because the chains are better equipped to adjust prices in relation to demand, than individual hotels are.
- Be careful when booking hotels “at the last minute”, although prices may be lower. You risk having to choose expensive accommodation because the best hotels are fully booked.
