Climate and weather in Las Vegas

In the glittering metropolis Las Vegas there is a dry desert climate. This makes for very hot summers and mild temperatures in winter. In the summer months of June, July and August, temperatures quickly rise to over 40 degrees Celsius. Even in the nights it is still warm and summery. In winter, on the other hand, you need a jacket for the evenings and nights. The winter temperatures in Las Vegas move around freezing at night. In November, December, January and February you can expect maximum temperatures between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius. The winter months also have the most rainy days per month. Usually it rains two days a month. This is not often, but the increased chance of rain poses a danger for the so-called tunnel people in Las Vegas. If it rains, the tunnels that are home to many homeless people quickly fill up with water. The weather is best in Las Vegas in spring and autumn. It’s neither too cold nor too hot to explore the city in the US state of Nevada. In April and May it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius a day. At night the temperatures are a pleasant 10 to 16 degrees Celsius. The months of September and October score with daytime temperatures of 28 to 35 degrees Celsius, with nighttime temperatures of 12 to 19 degrees Celsius. Basically, when traveling to Las Vegas, you can go on vacation there all year round.
