Before becoming one of the brands of watches the most renowned and desired the world, the Panerai was just a shop in Florence known by the name of Orologeria Svizzera and admired for its variety of table clocks, pocket, wrist, pendulums etc.
Its customers were the aristocracy and the upper class of the Italian city long before the creation of the first pieces for the Royal Navy, when would the call definitely Officine Panerai.
On the first floor of the historical store, still located in front of the Baptistery of Florence, could be seen the outstanding stock of pendulum clocks, these models served as inspiration for the choice of the vintage style of the new creation of Manufacture Panerai: Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio – 47mm.
The new design impressed by the elegant simplicity of the dial retro, using numerals the style of art deco accompanied by pointers tapered in the shape of a spear, something unprecedented in the watches of the brand.
The two models released differ in the color of the display and leather strap. The PAM00790 have the display dark and bracelet brown tone, the PAM00791presents a display ivory with strap in light shade, but the stitching that gives finish is beige in both cases.
With a box of 47 mm diameter made of stainless steel in an alloy specially solid and sturdy, the Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio resists up to 100 meters of depth. The bezel involves a glass, plexiglas®, as well as in some of the historical models of Panerai. On the back you can see through the glass bottom of the engine that houses in the polished metal.
