6 years ago, in 2010, Chopard celebrated its 150 years of history with a limited edition LUC 1937 model, inspired by the classic and timeless signature designs. A special model as it was in 1937 when Chopard, led by Paul-André Chopard, grandson of the founder, decided to leave the canton of Jura to settle in Geneva and reach there all the successes he has achieved in the last century. Well today, in 2016, Chopard presents a new version of the 1937 LUC Twist, we talk about the new LUC 1937 Classic (Ref. 168544-3002).
This new version comes with steel case 42 mm, with a thickness of just over 11 millimeters, with polished and satin finishes, mounted on a crocodile leather strap. With polished silver dial with rhodium-plated Roman numerals, Chopard again resort to Dauphine needles, characteristics of the LUC collection, endowment to set an elegant and sober look.
If we talk about the differences from the 2010 model, the 1937 LUC Twist, in this new version the crown back to its natural position, at 3, and dispenses with the subtle guardacoronas the previous model. The sphere passes from gray to silver and red second hand dispenses the benefit of rhodium, like needles in hours and minutes.
The LUC 1937 Classic dance to the rhythm of the new LUC 01.01-L and 28,800 vibrations per hour, mechanical smartwatches self-winding movement with COSC certificate and a power reserve of 60 hours, which can be seen through its fund sapphire crystal.
